Over the next 50 days we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus triumphs over death--death had no power over Him, nor does it have any power over those of us who have died and rose with Christ in baptism. Last week, we wept with Mary as she stood beneath the cross. This week we rejoice with Mary as she embraces the Risen Lord. What an incredible journey our faith is. We believe that Jesus entered the darkness in order to be there for us and show us the way to the Light. We believe that Jesus entered death so that He could show us the way through death to new life. We believe that Jesus entered the tomb and is in our tombs with us so that we do not stay there but rise to new life with Him. What a great God we have in Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
